Today's review will be testing the new offering from Bourjois which is their Instant Dry Nail Drops (RRP £5.99) which works to 'instantly dry nail enamel' and includes a nourishing cuticle oil. Two manicure miracles in one bottle? Lets see.
So the product works instead/on top of a top coat to set nails quickly and hard. The bottle comes with a small 'dropper' and it advises to use a drop on each nail to set the polish. I had just refreshed my manicure, moving from last friday's ultra bright nails to something a little more neutral. I chose Nails Inc in Elizabeth Street as a 'my nails but better' offering. I applied two coats of the polish and then a drop of the Bourjois Instant Dry on each nail.
After I had applied a drop to all ten nails I went back and gently rubbed in the *liquid/oil* into each cuticle. The result, dry nails in under a minute, nourished cuticles, happy me! I was impressed that the drops did indeed dry my manicure. I would be a little worried perhaps to use this on more layers of polish, I imagine that it may be touch dry but still prone to smudging if there are too many layers i.e. base, two coats of colour and top coat.
Will this be replacing my usual quick dry top coat? My nails are not as shiny as with a top coat so unlikely, but this is a great addition to my collection and I imagine a brilliant product for setting a pedicure! No more dodgy smudged toes from having to put shoes on and go out in a hurry...result!
PS: I realised, afterwards that this review probably would have benefitted from a more noticeable nail colour...we live and learn hey?
See you Monday for a Lemon Drizzle Bake that is literally easy peasy lemon...well you see what I did there
